In Greene County district court Cody Noel Roth, 38, of Woodward was sentenced to 10 years in prison with credit for time served after she changed her plea to guilty to a charge of theft- first degree. The prison term was suspended. She was fined $1,370 with a $205.50 surcharge. She was sentenced to five years in prison on a charge of burglary- third degree. That sentence was also suspended; the two are consecutive should they be imposed. Roth was placed on probation to the Iowa Department of Correctional Services for five years. She shall reside in a residential correctional facility until maximum benefits are attained. She was fined $1,025 with a $153.75 surcharge. Court costs were $732.62. (Sentencing: Honorable John R. Richard Allen Keller, 45, of Grand Junction was sentenced to 15 years in prison after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of possession of methamphetamine- third or subsequent offense. He must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and complete any recommended treatment. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail on a charge of interference with official acts, amended from interference with official acts- dangerous weapon. The jail time is consecutive to the prison term. He was fined $250 with a $37.50 surcharge; the fine and surcharge were suspended.
In another felony case against Keller, he was sentenced to two years in prison on a charge of criminal mischief- third degree, amended from criminal mischief- second degree. The prison term is consecutive to the term on the drug charge. Keller was fined $855 with a $128.25 surcharge. He was also charged with assault causing bodily injury or mental illness. He was sentenced to one year in jail, consecutive to the prison term. He was fined $430 with a $64.50 surcharge; both were suspended. Gary Eugene Grundon, 63, of Grand Junction was sentenced to 15 years in prison after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of possession of a controlled substance- third or subsequent offense. The prison term was suspended and he was placed on probation to the Iowa Department of Correctional Services for three years He must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and complete any recommended treatment at his own expense. A charge of possession of contraband in a correctional facility was dismissed. Grundon must pay restitution not to exceed $500 for his court appointed attorney’s fees and $100 court costs.
Landon Arthur Vote, 17, of Paton was granted a deferred judgment after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of criminal mischief- second degree. He must pay a civil penalty of $1,025, and he was placed on probation to the Iowa Department of Correctional Services for two years. A charge of burglary- third degree was dismissed. He must pay an amount not to exceed $500 restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees and $100 court costs. (Sentencing: McCarville)
Persons pleaded not guilty to charges as follows: Lorena Andrade 28, of Perry, possession of marijuana; Brian Duane Schumacher, 62, of Lohrville, operating while intoxicated; Julie Ann Simms, 59, of Carroll, possession of a controlled substance- third or subsequent offense and possession of contraband in a correctional facility; Melanie Kay Strain, 52, of Jefferson, operating while intoxicated; Keegan Dean Kennedy 17, of Jefferson, possession of marijuana; and Steven Caleb Jensen 29, of Bouton, sex abuse- continuous sex abuse of child, sex abuse- third degree- child victim related by blood;. Trial dates were set for Aug. 25 in every case.

Nelson, 37, of Bouton, dominion/control of firearm/offensive weapon by domestic abuse offender.
